We are extra pumped for this 8-day MgO and HEMP building workshop. Of all of the building and finishing we have dome here at Saoirse the MgO and Hemp is our favorite due to it’s non-toxic, breathability and ease of use!

From October 29th through November 6th we will be sharing our new passion for Magnesium Oxide as a building material and teaching how, when coupled with Hemp, what a perfect and easy building method results!. We start with the lumber structure that holds the forms, install electric, water and sewer (if needed) in the walls and then are ready to build by filling the forms!

Magnesium cement is much healthier to work with, healthier to live in, and when coupled with hemp has a low carbon footprint. Our Instructors include Master carpenter Ignacio Acuña from California and certified hemp building instructors James Sledge from North Carolina and Parker Johnson from Colorado.
